Cadences
They set out snares
amid the symbols,
and all but the high-
hats cared. After,
I forget my glasses!
Like a piece of you
omitted in confusion.
Well a kind someone reaches
my cell, and I go briefly
back. You relive something
different over any return.
What seems gone being
restored, of course. But
more than what’s discovered.
Why you make up
in love
of Hope.

Finders and Keepers
More dangerous than put-
together, careening through
attics looking for some-
thing I couldn’t misplace
its place,
but forgot.
Organizing things
Is the surest ticket
to chaos.
But uncovering sentiment-
al artifacts past their shelf-
life of shame?
We quiet ones
need such,
however late.

Whatever
Bella lost it, and had
looked very carefully.
For her.
A year later, Carl and
Embry decided to search
scientifically, Embry
making a map with grids.
They found it after two hours.
Presented it to Bella.
Who no longer desired it.

Found Cause
Not just lost
The streets sort themselves,
but still uneasily. You can help
others, though. A fair damsel--
yes there can be such. Inform
her: "You've crossed Marion Lane.
That could be a mistake since
she's a Tartar.” Her forehead re-
sembles a print--pre-digital--
coming up in developer.
Then she laughs at your
waggish contribution
to truly ordinary existence.
Distracting a pretty thing,
though never finding your way
through a dream. That’ll do.

Reaching the End of Something
Road washes out
behind, thus
not sure how
got here...some-
thing to find?
Anyway, what now?
Never your play.
