ministers shouting past
microphones. Often
the screen blinks a verse,
remote even to scholars.
Such glistening chins
fear nothing particular-
ly of the intellect. I would
convey to them proverbial words
of my late brother: “You’re as
full of shit as a Christmas Turkey!”
