Rocco & Mickey D’s Brother, The Broker


BROKER
Guys at Bear-Stearns went in millionaires that morning and left with a
cardboard box. Fired, and too much of their bucks in company stock.
Just about broke in many cases.

ROCCO
Oh the tragedy! They should pass Go and proceed directly to jail.
How much you wanna bet one out of three had a little ceramic golf figure
the wife bought in the dollar store? Really touching!

BROKER
They’re people, Rocco. Just because they’re not machinist and bakers...

ROCCO
Uh huh. I could show you an old Italian couple on every block here
practically ruined by you churning maniacs!

BROKER
Rare cases. Do you wish to outlaw Capitalism, is that it?

ROCCO
Yeah that’s it. Start all over with the citizen, not the plutocrat.
Or his ass-kissers like you!

BROKER
I’ve done all right. And been respected.

ROCCO
It’s all so sad. You eat the shit and promote the flavor.

BROKER
Well, our discussion has been edifying...and educational.

ROCCO
Not true. Too late for you.
