Desiring Opposition

That a “Toxic Women’s List” already
circulated didn’t surprise Cook.

His sister leading it, even less.

So? Friend Spuds had chosen her,
despite Cook’s hints otherwise.

Spuds, shy, growing up in a quiet
household, only child. Perfect
for the program, therefore.

Mona? Took no crap! Growing up
with her, Cook experienced many
times her handing out same.

Cook’s academic opinion early in the
program: “She’ll eat him alive!”

Indeed, he developed a stutter and
was often confused.

The Drs Abernathy, Coordinators,
explained. We chose men with
little experience with women,
encouraging them to take on a “sister.”

Cook had echoed a comedian's act:

Take my sister (in the sense of example)
Please!

So, restating the obvious: She, Tartar!
He, The Chocolate Soldier.

Well, the program has ended, and he’s
still standing, the Drs collating individual
diaries.

And ask Spuds now? “Stimulating.
Scary, but I think I learned something
of sisters. And women."

Mona: “Nice guy! Too much so. If they do it again, I want an opponent!”
