Here and There
I go towards the World,
a raucous trip
to an even more raucous
destination where
they fire questions at me!
Acquit myself well enough
to ask permission to
return, which
is never, ever, granted
but always implicit.

Quantum Fatigue
“I get a little tired of arriving there before I leave here.”
“Quantum Fatigue. Know it well. But, worse, I do inspecting,
that is leave my place and transport over a designated
section. Then get home before I left.”
“Loop! Does life consist of them?”
“I don’t know, but I get the feeling I’m always going up
my own ass!”
The air pulsed red. But just once. Vulgarity Warning.
Both had to apologize, though just one had said it.
The innocent one stated “I liked it when we had TV.
Now the air is TV.”
“And everything else!”
Quick Blue flash, which only means Get off the topic.
The two relaxed. Ate the fried eggs they had imagined.

Casting About
“Change your aspect!”
charges the advice as
fast desperation lodges
for its annual visit.
Ruck thinks hobby,
the former results
shoved under benches
in the garage. Or travel
to teeming Oriental interiors,
natives leaping like electrons.
Perhaps, grimy European cathedrals
showing brightest aspiration?
Pilgrims pissing among outside
stones, never quite
making it. Set-
tles on Miriam, whose ass
holds several pecks,
gallons, in fact.

Ending in the Same Place
Waiting
The plane from Malaga being an hour late,
Cliff even more belligerent than usual picking
up Sissy. Jilly tells them not to wait, since the
children's texts encourage on locating Ben.
She smokes a cigarette, seated on her luggage
mid a mass of taxis.
Now another text arrives. gotim@boat&anchor!
c u 1/2
She 'conducts' with her cigarette, pronouncing
quietly, “Olé?”
