Raps
Whatever! put in Rust.
Whichever? shrugs
Lil: It's a Wrap!

Perhaps yes,
perhaps no!

The Man Who Worked a Perfect
Piece of Four
Never been done!
And nobody knew or cared.
How could they, since he started Monday,
finished the preceding Tuesday?
Thus he ended before he began-–but that’s
too flip to say. We always look for something
like that.
At any rate, he forever picks out ways that
no other human can relate to.
We make our choices in Heaven and Earth!
The best of us never whining about inevitable
consequence.
And loneliness.

Alone
They decided to separate.
When separate,
taken for each other.
No one could get the names straight.
It was September already.
Would anything, or anyone,
be as equal again?

Three For Then
The Man Who Scheduled Every Minute
forgot everything of a morning.
No worry, backed up on all his devices?
He forgot that too.
Finally his phone vibrated and chimed madly.
“You’re Randall!” it announced.
“I’m Randall!” screamed he.
And all flooded back.
The Man Who Couldn’t Stop Eating
played furous tennis each morning
with his Chief Doctor.
Who usually surrendered. “You have
the metabolism of a Pittsburgh
Blast Furnace!”
He banked those fires to sleep,
dreaming of food...then sex.
The Wedding and Reception
Zach had nary a snobbish bone.
Thus married he his housekeeper.
His mother repeated egalitarian
moments of his childhood at the
reception.
Her side wasn’t much interested.
They had cried copiously at
the wedding, and now devoured
food and drink.
Prior to dancing maniacally to
Newton and the New Tones.
Their Chief, who gave her away,
gathered himself enough to
try out the slogan.
Expect Perfection Honda Wife!
Their present proved a dedicated iPad
containing her revised manual.

What She Sees
Dolores gone from her bed that morning.
Mac and Carol wondered about calling the police,
but had been instructed in the past to watch Milo's
Exercise City before the 7 AM news.
A banner ran across the bottom as Milo coaxed into
slow-motion stretches.
iwdw-d
in warp don't worry-dolores.
The family proud that she was called from time
to time, though Mac and Carol puzzled as to her
expertise.
"Well it's not sex!" Dolores laughed, "What you two think about!"
What could it be for a seventeen year old?
During another time: “The leader says I see things nobody else can,
but that's only there. Here I'm the average clunk. Boyfriend, stupid
music, florescent hatchet-hair, raggedy-ass clothes!”
Once, at a neighborhood meeting, Dr Abnessry, the School District
Psychologist, had passed around many pictures, one of which
featured Dolores and Rockno, the boyfriend, on his multicolored
scooter. All to convince parents that their children were “normal.”
The atmosphere was jovial and everyone laughed. The theme:
This, too, shall pass.
It does and it doesn’t.
In the meantime, Rockno did worry. Leaving messages on all
the cells.
When he came by, Carol told him she'd be back soon. Mac was
up on a ladder, cleaning the gutters. When Rockno's scooter
squealed away, he slipped a rung, his nose being scored by
another.
Carol sprayed it with saline and dabbed Vaseline on a band-aid.
"You're good to go," she told him.
When Dolores returned, the leaves were back in the gutter and
the scratch had never occurred.
No time had lapsed since she left her bed.
Which she does now in her Shrieking Roar-Boys’ pjs and
Minnie Mouse Slippers. Breakfast.
Rockno had perceived nothing of course.

Styles of Leaving
Lisa-Lil has stopped leaving me in the old way.
Thus blocking the fierce fights when she returns.
Now, she goes to her sister’s, and they do each
others hair and nails. And gossip about old
times and new.
Gone are the bums she once fled with.
You can sustain a relationship like this.
It’s just that healthy things take a bit of time
working out.
I...think that what it’s just.

The Silly Equation
Lil and I the temporary engineering team.
She the creative, I, nuts and bolts.
We worked on a very minor, but nagging
problem.
An hour a day for discussions. We had
other things to do.
Retts stopped by and nodded at our
attempts. “Keep on it. Won’t change
the History of the World, but the
guys on the line will thank you.”
Then he said something that altered
everything.
“Well, I’ll see you in my dreams.”
When he left, Lil quipped “Let’s dream
about our tiny conundrum.”
Before you start with a sexual construct,
we’re both in secure relationships.
And, believe it or not, that’s the right word.
Secure. Odd one, but true.
Anyway, I went along with her. The one
ground rule was that we’d think about
the problem hour before bedtime,
later visualize the two of us solving it.
Pretty much a flop. I couldn’t remember
much of anything, and she just laughed.
Then one morning as I searched for Coffee
Mate, she remarked. “You at least came up
with a silly equation.”
I did I remember, but in a dream. We called
it that there.
I don’t know where all this could be
heading, but for the briefest, our dreams
entangled.
Well, I do. Management has submerged
us with other projects.
So, mutual dreams, if they occur, on hold.
Piddling problems often not resolved.
Due to work!
