ROCCO
Senator Kennedy died. Great Massachusetts Liberal!
LARRY
And last of a dynasty. A rich one.
ROCCO
And yet he supported the poor and middle classes, no?
LARRY
To an extent. But a rich man generally favors his own class.
ROCCO
And the other legislators?
LARRY
They're bribed to act rich.
ROCCO
And lo and behold, after a few years, they attain that lofty status.
It’s almost a miracle!
LARRY
Proves that American dream is within reach for some--
with the aid of corporations and their bagmen.
ROCCO
Your bottom line?
LARRY
It's all class!
ROCCO
And self-reinforcing, yes?
LARRY
You got that right!
