Republican Heaven
Pleasant to be greeted
by an Angel with every
feather right!
I speak to him of my fear
re GREAT REPLACEMENT!
--even here. But he brightly reassures:
“Not a Worry!" There being
a separate but equal heaven
for jungle types and their
yellowish co-libtards!
"All so-OOOO Politically Correct-de-deck-TEE!"
Exult I then of course…
and...actually...some black music
quite interesting. Acceptable therefore!
Plus every major city
possesses a CHINATOWN
with interesting food.
(Use your napkin to clean
the cutlery beforehand
just to be sure!)
But obviously the greatest glory in a Heaven
for our OWN Kind
is the absence of Socialist
“Intellectuals” and their wooly
theories of nothing!
(& of course we leave Jews
to their weird devices...
'nuff said.)

Metamorphosis,
Sorta
Glenn and Dotsy outraged us.
Their shtick.
But some was genuine.
"We want to shake you
to the shallow depths
of your bourgeois souls!"
Then they married and muted
their trumpet.
Now they warn of Neeee-groes
and Spicky-Spick-Illegals oh my!
Follow Trump, and warn us that
we must face down the traitors and
Pansy Liberals and mollycoddle
Republicans populating the
Swamp!
Oh mys!

"Boy"
-This Senator called a black
lawyer “Boy” when a judge.
Once upon a time! Does that
make him an unrelenting
Segregationist?
-Probably.
-I don't buy it. He could belong
to a poker club where he regularly
plays with black guys, and they rib
the shit outa each other on race.
-That's not enough to extract the
"unrelenting."
-Such standards!
-The fish is in the water, and the
water is in the fish.
-Oh? And what the hell does that mean?
-If the shoe fits...
-Enough with the proverbs! They're as
lousy a guide as anything!
-We're liberals and yet a lot of intolerance
has seeped in.
-I'm not responsible for seepage. I just do
the best I can.
-Not enough.
-Nothing ever is. It's a curse and fuck it!
-Heart for every fate!
-I'm warning you!

Liberal vs Conservative
on the Spiritual Level
is a fight unto Death!
Which is why we need
politicians. One might state
“Now wait
a little minute! We actually like
one or two of your new-
fangled notions. So let’s
say we get to keep...
and you get...?”

...a dating post for Liberals.
McNally’s Tavern in Chestnut Hill
First time for Jerry, Accountant for
School District of Philadelphia, and
Nicole, French Teacher, Girls’ High.
Jerry: Trump will have deaths on
his hands! Old White Men choking
on their Reactionary gorge and
succumbing to strokes!
Nicole: It couldn’t happen to a
nicer bunch of Racists and Sexists!
Jerry: Oh well...maybe they believe
what they say.
Nicole: Merde merde merde!
Jerry: Ship out the remaining Republicans?
Nicole: Of course! Keep the immigrants instead!
They have good food!
Both pleased they seemed compatible.
Ordered JFK Sandwiches.
The front windows went from afterglow to black
as buses hissed along Germantown Avenue.
Both prefer Becks.

Combat Ready
Laurel Josephine, aka LJ or Mixxy
The last alluding to her propensity
to mix it up, quarrel.
So when the coiffed religious headliner
came to her college, she was nothing if
not primed to deal with his load of shit!
She got him on the sweaty run, but he did
make one interesting point. That her liberal
stance took of what she accused him of:
Doctrine.
So she vowed after not to be doctrinal.
Losing thereby some of her Lefty pals.
Well, truth be told, she lost her few
friends on the other side also.
So, she reasoned, must be doing
something right.
She thought she'd go into the Sciences,
but that proved surprising political also.
Maybe just the Age.
The men came and went, lying.
She ended in Education, counseling Junior
High kids. She had an affinity for their
search for justice, and their vulnerability
mid exploding hormones.
The other teachers got married and she
became the durable bridesmaid in the
terrible dress. A stale idea, and she got a
kick out of it.
Besides, people of her age danced a
fury at weddings. And she loved that!
Enter Whatsisface. What she called him
for a good while. He was a realist and
expected no more of her than her self.
How to relate, she mused, to someone
not a goddamn fuckin fool!
They had fun. That was the ticket!
Then...the discussion re marriage.
Not for them!
And, then, for them.
Biggest discussion took place at a
weekend at the Jersey Shore.
There they actually took the misty
afterglow walk along the beach, hand
in hand, but didn't fall embracing
into the surf.
Rather, she performed a solo dip,
nude, laughing uproariously all the
while at the previous movie stereotype
of it!
“Take the vaseline off the lens, assholes!”
roared she over the loud waves.
At any rate, the two realists started
writing their own ceremony. Leaving out
the crap.
Though his mother, a self-confessed
Old Fashioned Girl, actually tried to get
him to squeeze “to obey” back in there.
Fat chance!

Too Late To Escape
Smitty never got too far from the prison, the warden’s
brother in the next town putting him to work in his
hardware store.
Ten years had passed since his discharge, so he
became a good sport when the mayor of the prison
town asked him to join the celebration as it closed.
Actually, was to be the world’s largest pajama party, but
he signed on only for the interview on Good Morrow, Y’all.
There, Hoak and Betsy ran him through their conservative-liberal
shticks. Both wanted gloomy remembrances of the prison, but
he talked of the warden’s children playing hopscotch outside
his cell, and his wife bringing a comforter from the house when
Smitty got the flu.
Thereupon Hoak sneered of coddling, and Betsy launched into a
sermonette on rehabilitation.
At the break, Hoak whispered, “More Cagney, less Morgan Freeman.”
They showed pictures when back on the air of the last huge pajama
party at Edinburgh Castle. Dour Scots for the most part, but their
women charmingly swimming in men’s pajamas.
They had a clip, too, of a Guinness Man who wouldn’t commit, but
thought it was likely that their pajama party would edge out Edinburg’s.
When Betsy pressed Smitty about going, he told the pair he had to get
back to Cat Felix.
Thereupon, in the only spontaneous minute that show had ever seen,
he produced a snap of Felix from his wallet.
“White with the one black eye,” laughed Hoak.
Gushed Betsy “He’d be my cutie-patootie!”
Later, Spotlight columnist, See-All, commented “Cat steals show
from usual political squabblers!”
The mayor’s dithery man brought him to the bus, first showing
off the new, glitzy shopping center. The bright liquor store therein
had lousy security, so Smitty boosted a fifth of Seagram’s Seven.

Love is not Love
that alters when it alternation finds
-Monday is a great day to be a vicious Conservative!
Think about it: you’re forced back into work,
hung over from the weekend, stomach-sick,
and thoroughly pissed.
-Do you relax Tuesday?
-Then I’m a Liberal! Pie-in-the-sky horseshit to spend
everybody else’s money.
-Don’t tell me you alternate!
-Precisely! Wednesday, gleefully back to grinding the
faces of the undeserving poor...which is all of them,
especially our darker brethren.
-So? You’re opposite extreme Extremists!
-Thursday, I peak. Pretty little guillotine on the bed of
my pickup, I cruse the upscale shopping centers after work.
.
-My God! You don’t...execute?
-Not yet. Just, remind. Play a cassette of heads hitting
baskets is all.
-I’m afraid to ask about Friday.
--Don’t be! I take it off. Friday begins a long weekend.
A prolonged Drunk!
-Well, you must stop! It’s crazy! And even though you
alternate, the twin monsters are inside you at all times.
Contraries! You can’t hold contraries...!
-Why I’ve held as many as six contraries before breakfast!
-That’s Alice in Wonderland!
-Isn’t everything?

The Good Republican
Lies?
Rhetorical exaggerations I admit to.
And flourishes. Old-School there, I’m afraid.
You point especially to my Labor Day speech.
And scathingly see me as Republican, of course,
thus avowed enemy of the working person.
Some are, and very clearly. Ask them, they’ll
tell you. They love to! Wallow in their own
poisonous spit!
And you claim that we’ve destroyed unions?
Lots of factors have militated against unions,
though we’ve been the most important.
But I’m, individually, very Pro-Labor. I believe the
present dynamic is sick, and toxic to the country.
I believe, mostly, in a strong safety net.
The billionaire supplies his own, hedging his bets.
The worker bets his labor, and must be allowed to
hedge also.
Why haven’t you heard this before?
A hand clamps my mouth, known as Party.
If they turn off the cash spigot, I lose.
And, as the wilfully naive Supreme Court has
allowed obscene amounts, I can’t fall behind.
Hey! Everybody’s job contains terrible contradictions
and anomalies. Why should mine be different?
They’ll smear me RINO?
They can do much worse!
“Things are in the saddle, and ride mankind.” ?
And some horrible, dreadful, degrading things they are!
Why don’t you hear more from me? Why don’t I take
more of a stand?
Politics is incremental. And the parties have even blatantly
switched in history. If we live long enough, we’ll see
Republicans as the liberal party, and Democrats as the
stick-in-the-mud, and thoroughly despicable, Conservatives.
When I can fight, I will. When I can’t, I’ll talk the crap they wish.
A sort of partial and quite unsatisfactory answer?
That’s me. And you. And everybody.
Hey! They hanged Nathan Hale! “My only regret is that I have
but one life to give to my country.” Tremendous!
But he wasn’t always that Nathan Hale.

Sin and Stance
-Goethe said he never heard of a sin he could not commit.
-That’s the old German dude, yes? I saw a picture of him
lounging in a white silk robe. Typical Fainting-Fairy Liberal.
-What he said was Liberal stuff?
-Of course! Indiscriminate Lover of Mankind! The whole
stupidly juvenile smear! Cum bye yah!
-Putting all that aside, how about Nonpartisan Sin, anyway?
-I've heard hundreds I couldn't commit. So many that I just
pick a few non-swish ones at random and let fly!
-Isn't that pretty wild?
-Some get hurt. But it's their own fault.
-Do they forgive? Do you ask?
-Excuse me. Drawing a blank here: not familiar with the word.

The Wonders of Political Change
The man who was utterly no good
by any measure
underwent several administrations. The Conservatives
lectured him on responsibility, on demanding power, and
on bowing down.
Their policies cut his puny wages in half, giving the
difference to their contributors.
He did try their little personal bag of tricks, but
asserted his power at the wrong time and was
beaten up by bored delinquents.
The Liberals gave him cards for food and rent.
Told him it was temporary--until he got on his feet.
Since he had never been there, he hadn't a clue to
the route.
Moderates finally swept in because of the seething
disgust with both ruling parties.
They sent a man and woman. He held money,
she a baseball bat.
When they both delivered at once, he found the
experience sexual.

I Don't Chase Every Buck
Time of receipts
asks accounting
I'm too cussed
to perform. Or
cussed lazy. But I'd
like monies I’ve
missed placed in a fund
for the poor. That'd be
my perfect age. Well,
in a perfect age, there’d
be no poor. Conservatives
adopt their usual hardeyed
view there too. Take the world
the way you meet it, then squeeze
whomever for a profit. Since
Christ ate with whores and thieves,
they never deign realistic company.
