Xd Door
My mother gave a bum
a piece of pie and a dime,
feeling sorry for him.
My father warned her, “He
put an X on the door!” I
looked but saw none.
But in that deepest depression, really,
a mostly stick-figure language chalked
on doors and walls. (For one, “Mean
Man” looking very nearly electric!) Well,
Lefties have chalked up mine. Hard-
ly a day without mailbox solicitation. Last
from ACLU. Actually, they help Righties as
well, even though placed on their lengthening
despise-upon-mention list. Cacophony
in this country vastly out of proportion
to Right’s numbers. Threatening armed revolution
to boot. Uh huh. How many farts make a windstorm?
Have helped, though, to elect some center-right pols.
Who’ll of course get assassination threats
when they vote for sensible proposals.
