Genesis
Scoreless committees
and their like before
serving Senate or House.
Handling solid waste
or neighborhood stinks
back then, political individuals
have anyway paid their dues.
The corridors of power being flanked
by many a boring alcove--even
presently–-they deserve our thanks.
You bring up stealing,
your obsession. And a stretch.
Let's say a perk is seldom missed,
and not a few invented. Edisons
in the majority.
