Babytalk

Hard and Soft

The couple went into their eighties saying

"You're a poopie!"

"Well you're a  poopie-doopie!"

An occasional affectionate turn produced

"You're my poopie."

"And you're my poopie-doopie."

Does their long interchange have larger import?

How could it not?
