Farseeing Republicans
"We have to be cruel to be kind.”
Rudge swallowed this, and worked his
ass off for the Republican Party.
But no evidence ever emerged as to the latter
part of the maxim.
He finally brought it up at headquarters.
And was shot.
His body carried across the street and dumped on
the Democrats.
Police Chief complained that it was murder, but since
the parties tied 3-3 this year, Prosecutor would let it
slide if it all stopped.
“That’s how you make a deal!” trumpeted Boss Edmunds,
“Scare the shit outa everybody! Even though Prosecutor
non-partisan in this bailiwick, still a politician. That stipulation
in County Code puts us in Dark Ages, though.”
