In Perfect Service
You’d not think a member of the
Unreconstructed Right would
willingly become a slave, but
Jerry signed a contract with
Saunders Ott as Master.
Thus upholding--and testing--

his life.
In perfect service there is perfect freedom!
The agreement allowed beating, but
clause left in there merely as historical
artifact, really.

Jerry can’t get used to the smells,
and her actual cracking of the

Institution Evolving
The Signing
“The pussy Democrats made me write that in!”
Declared My Big Man! I was glad they did. If I’m to be
beaten by him, I didn’t want it indiscriminate, in
a temper tantrum.
So I signed. TV made their usual hoopla: “First slave
in 150 years blah blah. And white!”
Blue Cross Blue Shield better than I had at the mill.
Vacation days, sick leave, etc. Not bad.
So, you DO obey! No discussion. Hey! It’s been a
masquerade up to now anyway.
This strips it bare.

of those who can't even sustain a conventional thought.

-I love it! Politically Correct Slavery! Where would they be
seized from?
-Here! And no force: it's a buy-in. Contract with everything
spelled out.
-Can you, uh, beat...?
-Of course. One must retain that obligation. Besides, show me
a system that operates without threat.
-Indeed! That’s the mother’s milk of systems.
-Again, it can't be capricious. You beat them within the law.
-But, except for the last–-and I’m not so sure about that--
all this hedging round with stricture resembles what we have now.
-Shhhhh!

Contract
-But you can see that I’m white.
-I’m not a racist.
-Okay, then, the deal is I become your slave, and you take care of me.
-That’s the deal.
-Republicans would call that Socialism.
-I’m a Republican and I resent that.
-But it’s slavery.
-Of course. Respectable and honest institution when it’s done properly.
