The Perils of Writing Anything

-Well...ill chosen phrase!

-What I was getting at in blog:
the protracted end of an affair,
when things...get small, fleeting,
unimportant, excruciatingly trivial etc.

-And you call that Dwarf Sex?

-Maybe I shoulda thought more?

-Knocked web off a bit, and some
bitter complaints. Folks looking for
"Dwarf Sex" seek stills or vids of
dwarfs doing it. Couples or groups.

-Groups? Even I find that disgusting!

-Matter of Opinion. Besides, they like
to be called “Little People.”

-Roses by any other name, etc.

And Dwarf Varieties therein? Of dwarfs?

-You have actual humor in you?

-Only when it comes to cruelty.

The Future of Misery

Biff and Carol went on to the film, even though it
wasn't Leonardo DiCaprio, but the fellow looked
like him.

The other couple wouldn't, she insisting, even though
Carol informed them of glowing reviews online.

Well, that'd be the last time to go out with those two!
At work he seemed scattered and worried, and she was
a mule growing up and had gotten worse.

Carol told him that at the Fourth Street Club everyone
begged off any committee she was on.

At bedtime--they had skipped beers at Lefty n' Lil’s
because of the sour mood. Which the lame film
didn't help...

ANYWAY, Carol told him it was bad luck to talk about
another couple's troubles. But they couldn’t help it:
those two being a trainwreck heading for a
bigger one!

Biff's final thought before brushing his teeth--
taking a very long time to do it in hopes the
subject would die--"You know, in the old days
that kind of woman just made the whole town
miserable, but now with the internet...?

The Tsunami of Trivia

proves expensive with many
so overwrought they’re
institutionalized.

Government steps in with
sophisticated screens
which allow one area.

Many men choose football.
Women, the Royals.

Impromptu frenzies break out
at bars and shopping centers.
Concentration invites faction.

Government installs civilian police to
keep everyone moving. Actual cops bag
a few trophies of the New Era.

The populace comes under control,
though the madhouse inhabitants and

their outside doubles see everyone
as foils to aliens.
