Oh How We Danced...!

Mr Cheap Solutions

had his daughter and her inattentive beau write
their own marriage ceremony, prompted in its
less-than-moving recitation on the great day by
a clergyman of approximate sobriety.

The reception catered by the latest immigrant group,
whose cuisine consisted of lumps of dough laced with
minced garbage.

Their native champagne tasted of burnt matches, but
effectively lit the guests, who danced furiously to a
half-gypsy band.

When the starving musicians broke to devour the
"food," flasks of sulfuric fruit liqueur were passed
around.

Anyway, It proved, all-in-all, our Cheapskate's Paradise!
Trifecta of inexpensive, gastric, and inebriated.

Okay okay! Just my point of view. One Academic Couple
pronounced it cultural and lovely and memorable!

Another trifecta! This time of the deluded. And what
would we do without them?

The Future of Sex

Estelle-7 and Mona-4 couldn't stop
quarreling. Their human husbands
kept them apart, so the insults sped

electronically.

All to the effect of sex: which robot had
the techniques that madden thoroughly?
Insuring wondrous ecstasy! Uh huh?

The Robot World specialized in hyperbole.

And when the husbands didn't really seem
to care about the fighting, the state butted in.

The men ordered to sell the robots.

And take on Dorotheas. These models
discussed history and literature.

And joined civic groups.

Robot Resale handled the auction.
Winner of both: Rev Cotton Mather--
yes a descendent, but no fire-breather.

A temperate clergyman, though giddy
notes started creeping into his sermons.

Queen of Summer and Her Court

Deodorant Failing!

And the bridesmaids’ dresses, of a kind of semi-florescent
salmon, were soaking through with sweat!

Oak Juntsley went to the minister. “Crank up the A/C! I’ll pay
extra, you cheap ecclesiastical son of a bitch!”

Just before the ceremony, old Dr Andernathy went to the car
for a blanket for his Cecille, who had once synchronized swum
in a justly forgotten Olympics.

The bride turned tremblingly beautiful. Groom leaned into her
to support. The double rings proved difficult, what with icy
fingers.

Fortunately, the reception outdoors: the smothering humidly
a positive tonic by then.

A tottering Oak finally offered a toast to the minister, who
then repeated word for word his message about forgiveness
in marriage--his wife, already drunk, sneered so, she had to
be eased behind the caterer’s tent.
