Character
He got everything wrong.
Period!
Still fumbling into middle years.
Men say nice, women sweet.
His sister, Gloria, Glo-Glo,
claims he misperceived
from birth.
“We had to burn down the
damn school, get him out!”
Told how others love him:
“That and a quarter will buy you…
I don’t even know anymore!
Nothing! Squat!”
She shot at a boyfriend but missed.
Presently taking NRA course.

Not for Her an Interminably Dying Swan
Jenn-Annie found everything to be new!
This attitude, or lack thereof, she
brought to her secondary roles as
a dancer.
Her boyfriend, Hector, was a static
Conservative, who humored her.
As he does now when they've married.
He is the present Treasury Secretary.
Every penny spent...well the party
sees that a lot fewer of them ARE!
For frivolous social programs,
or her ballet company.
She carries on, laughing.
The new Prime Minister once attempted
to rape her as she minced though a
dark short cut in back of the theater.
She struck him with a brick his white
chest still maintains the imprint of.
She never recognized him.
He's a prude now, of course, and
viscerally dislikes the sexiness she
brings to some roles.
To the dance critics who despise him
reflexively she is one of the few breaths
of fresh air left in the company.
The younger dancers find her silly.
Unprofessional.
What they love most is kissing ass in
the tyranny. Adore, actually.
It's always an art in great repute.

One Note
She, the smallest cheerleader.
Each male partner wanted her standing
on his shoulders, and not some cow!
Of course the cows weighed about 110.
It’s a particular world.
She graduated and married and had kids
And you know what? Stayed petite and sweet.
Oh she had to have SOME vile moments?
None.
Premature stroke at fifty landed her in Bide-a-Bit.
No surprise that the nurses call her Sweetie Pie.
Make fun of her if you wish, but you probably should seek her blessing.

An Innocent Anent
Young Raxxy invited to the Big Christmas Party,
unheard of for a first-year employee.
Unfortunately, the cruder types said things
such as "Who did YOU blow?" They turned
everything to teasing sex. No surprise there.
And were, of course, jealous.
Mrs Carker and Ms Miller schooled on what
to say in the receiving line. Light. Pleasant.
They rehearsed him in the warehouse, cardboard
boxes representing the founder and his usually
soused wife.
Ms Miller put her hand on his ass to represent
what the wife might do, and the women couldn't
stop laughing.
Came the Big Night and he blushed a bit while
wishing the couple Merry Christmas, and
mentioning the snow promised by the hysterical
local channel.
Whereupon Dr Massey gripped his hand super-
tightly, looked scarletly terrified, and died.
There were jokes after a suitable period,
and a bit of celebrity.
But immediately after, Detective Minsker
and Patrolman Held kept exploring his
comment as to the snow.
Raxxy seemed permanently red to them, suspicious.
Minsker finally told Held to let the young
man go. “These pure types piss me off no end!”
“Frauds, like everybody else.”
“Yeah, but we can't pinch him for being an asshole.”
Darlene Billingsly-Marks finally told him that all
the girls at work were scared of him.
"But I'm not."
