GOP Largesse to the Poor
They Probably WON'T Always Be With Us
-Can't have health insurance for all without subsidizing
poor people. Just can't be done, and that sticks in the
Republican craw.
-The bums'll go out and get sick for the benefits?
-Yeah, like the lazy bastards who'd rather collect unemployment
than work!
-That last according to Senator So and So, anyway.
-Takes one to know one.

Marketing
“Look! We got the old farts thoroughly confused.
This plan and that, this or that deductible.
Now we’re following through with a thumping
brochure to every one of them! Very colorful,
plus newspapers and TV, and, of course,
a continuous flow of crap on the internet.
We’re gonna win most of these dithering
prospects, but it’s debatable whether all
the tons of advertising helps or hurts us.
It’s the guys and girls we got to close the deal
gives us the edge. Many have been ministers
or priests or rabbis, so they know how to appear
gentle and thoughtful while shoveling the shit.”

Tabernacle
-Due to our stupid retirement policy, we’ve lost Gladys.
-Queen of Denial!
-The rare times she approved claims, she grew irritable, sour.
-The body language. And that face!
-Ah but when she was in form?
-Metamorphosis!
-It was even...
-Sexual. She came like a machine gun!
-One time I walked by her office and the coffee vibrated in my
styrofoam cup!
-You felt Insurance!

Health Legislation Public Option
Put it in separate Bill.
That way no Repub
will vote for it
in fear and trembling
of their ruthless base
labeling them Socialist.
Dems who vote against
are Republicans. Get it
on the record at any rate.
They’ll spin insanely after.

Two Health Insurance Executives
-We’re for fair and open competition!
-Well, that’s what your spokesman says.
-And he’s pretty fuckin young.
-Words and deeds, huh?
-Amen! Let’s stick to the deeds.
-Are you a physician? I never asked.
-We’re both physicians who, from wresting with bureaucracy,
have lost the knack of looking up an asshole.
