Millennial Trio
-Is my whole life getting on
Frisian Locomotives?
-No, your whole life consists
of stringing nonsense sounds.
-You, likewise, can't have a year
excluding October.
-You should. It's the gateway to
freakin ice!
-The dearth of tri-axial moonbeams
can no longer be ignored.
-Let’s ignore it anyway. Just for practice.
-My whole life...
-Not again!
-Your whole life consists of weakly
bitching for incoherent reasons.
-How rare to meet a true Millennial!
-Why not take a nice lay-down, Honey?
-My parents!
-Thought your little words were golden.
-As they hovered. And hovered!
-Helicopter Parents!
-Look around! They may be still!
-I don't need anyone anymore! I'm a
miracle as I stand. A living and
breathing...
-Uh huh?
-And the farmer took another
load away!
-If I became a farmer I'd make it better!
You’d see!
-Let’s give you an award now!
Before the fact.
-Ah but there are no facts!

The Zen of the Lazy American
But. “Close to the vest, close to the vest. Quiet cards, and hidden.”
She was due to join us any moment now, so
we told him that “Babs will surely leave for somebody with an ounce of daring!”
"Here's your hat, Ole Babs! What's your hurry?"
we told him that “Babs will surely leave for somebody with an ounce of daring!”
"Here's your hat, Ole Babs! What's your hurry?"
“So, defiantly mediocre? That’s you!”
“I should go to Brooklyn to fight the cops?
Or Oakland, the Communists?”
“Don’t be a hero. Just move off your ass!”
“The still man rules.”
That’s when Babs came in. And we turned her
right around!

Praising America
Patriot’s Sundae
I didn't worry that the Administration and its
fierce Party labeled my unemployment
insurance as a crippling entitlement against
the whole country.
But then, they persuaded Congress to eliminate the
program on the philosophical ground that it lacked
the real starving possibility that got folks off their ass.
Thus, yet another blow to natural laziness.
No problem with this last here. Our shop had work
out the door and stretching to Kalamazoo!
Overtime mandatory, which was fine with me.
Was. Whole shebang to Latvia. Our labor just too costly.
Sometimes, you get the chance to give back wages?
But not in this case.
After a couple of months, when the old government
handout would’ve come in handy, and we exhausted
our savings, and our daughters couldn't play soccer
because we couldn't afford the uniforms, I landed
on my feet at Dollar-O-Rama!
The best thing here: we buy up the food that
supermarkets throw away, and some WE actually
throw away. Well, no more! That last goes to OUR table.
My wife last week took a smashed blueberry pie and
blended it with her homemade yogurt. Great!
We called it our Patriot’s Sundae.
The girls bragged about it, and we had to stand up
at their next game. The announcer said that praising
us was praising America!

GOP Largesse to the Poor
They Probably WON'T Always Be With Us
-Can't have health insurance for all without subsidizing
poor people. Just can't be done, and that sticks in the
Republican craw.
-The bums'll go out and get sick for the benefits?
-Yeah, like the lazy bastards who'd rather collect unemployment
than work!
-That last according to Senator So and So, anyway.
-Takes one to know one.

Power-Pointers Discuss the Work in Work
Business Strategy
-Our top international guy retiring.
-His accent too?
-Could work a cocktail party anywhere in the world!
-That's the keyword. Work. How much did he
actually do?
-Difficult to measure. But I'll try. I'd guess--most unscientifically--that he...let's see...he put in fifteen years?
-On the nose.
-Then he actually worked one of them in total.
-Six percent or so? That's so lame! Not even batting 100! Rest of us bat
nearly 500.
-Pretty good!
-Not really. We're just not as masterful frauds as he.
-Alas it’s too late!
-Ever wonder why we attack government all the time? Keeping a frenzy going, so fewer will see our lazy chicanery.
-I got five years if not fired first. Gotta keep my own frenzy going!
