Ends

-Kelli and I finally had THE TALK!

-The Delay Card disintegrating in your
crippled fingers?

-Think...Mudstorm-Tsunami.

-(sings) Where were you blown to?

-Separate trees!

-Oak, Christmas, what?

-Can there exist a Female Variety?

-Better be!

-Her final announcement, anyway:
she’s switching to girls altogether.
And starting Wholesale!

-She must hate herself.

-The only profound question concerns
the transferability of faked orgasms.

-She can search the literature.

-Or Feminist Poetry?

-At any rate, you both have some
time to think now.

-Uh uh! Enough of that shit already!
Moving to the desert before she wades
into Social Media blaming me. Expect to
be pissing my pants with some regularity.

-For my sake, practice stationing yourself
downwind right now!

-What’s your, uh, sister doing?

-The usual nothing.

-On the market again?

-Yeah, but not to Jews!

-I’m a Catholic!

-Worse.

Puzzling Character

-No mystery here, believe me:
Think Crazy-quilt!

-All too much! Main threads being?

-Fear and lying.

-Falling into the male character then?

-Setting the hallmark!

-I think I recognize you. My first
husband!

-Everybody’s.

-Uh? Swinging just the ONE way?

-Moving with the times.

-A broken heart for every light on
Broadway.

-Not quite doubled my quota.

-One way of looking at you then:
ultimately just a crushed faggot!

-Nobody gets one way.

The Man Who Attracted Men

certainly didn’t work at it!

Slob-Charisma?

But wives in our bunch couldn’t
talk about him enough.

Giselle claims “I’d pay him to
seduce my Ralph. Any sign
of life, however perverted!”

So...be careful what you wisecrack
about!

Ralph packs up one fine morning.

Shattered, she.

Of short duration. Two weeks later
he’s back: all apologies and masculine
sobbing.

Her power time! Intent on his destruction, but Father Dennis of St Ann’s sends the team of Drs O’Hare, Marriage Psychologists.

Strange to say, it’s working out.
Slowly, for the couple remarkable
thickheads.

Forgotten, the man who attracts men.

Until! Beat’s Richardson similarly absconds.

And he’s back shortly too!

Same wet, abject act. But Beats tells us “Hey! we’re not Mackerel-Mashers, and don’t need no priest or his hired guns to straighten out a crappy marriage.

We BOTH take responsibility!”

Wags claim her not-so-secret Fernando
had been helping her, but he’s transferred to the tango
school’s startup in another state.

Two years pass, and Hockey, and Bert’s brother, and I throw in thirty bucks each. With Bert’s brother’s girlfriend, Jiggs, contributing ten.

Anyway, we could never figure out the
attraction residing in the fatal man who
bid to break up two marriages!

So offered the hundred to one seductee,
then the other.

No freakin go! Both said they’re taking
it to the grave!

Meantime, the man who attracted men
has moved on to several “relationships!”

We drink up the hundred one VFW night,
convinced somebody will eventually talk.

The Broken Heart Commission

started issuing Certificates
of Proportional Guilt.

Most couples: 60-40. The villain
in the 60.

Hector and Louisa, though, he got
98, she 2. A snake!

Many tilt the other way, the female
as the guiltier party.

The Law says the worst of these now must
come with printed warnings!

Making them more alluring to many males--

some can't learn, though that's no business
of the commission.

The aforementioned Hector has also broken
male hearts. Considered next year when
Same Sex Breakups enter the regulations.

Why is is that Bi-s seem even nastier?

Too profound a question to be settled by
mere Law.

The Power of Suburbs

-A trifle queer here and there. But then I married
Stephanie and knocked it off.

-Good knocking there?

-The best!

-And she?

-Not so fidelitous.

-Failure at such thy name is woman!

-The town sent a road crew to repair the intersection,

-And one...?

-Carl, simple and six-packed. Much giggling as he
drinks from the hose she proffers. Once, as twilight
falls, and the water silvering...?

-Pretty, but what did you DO?

-Won him away from her!

-Life-Challenges on Appletree Lane!

-Not so much now, the corner with Kumquat
smooth again.

-And you and Steph?

-Alas! It's Modern Life! Full of splits. Heartaches and
potholes!

-And Carl, the universally tempting? Unfairly presented
by Divinity at weak times?

-The both of us live in the city now and he obeys.

-Caesar will spread his authority?

-At any chance!

Flower of Malaya

-...and I found that I didn't have to undergo
the torture of choosing between Bruce and Betty.

-By choosing both?

-Bingo! Happy at last!

-Judging from the solo aspects of this shitty
apartment, something happened to divert
such happiness?

-Bruce and Betty happened.

-I see. But even then...I mean you're experimenters after all.

-They left.

-And a note?

-A doozie! Including an allusion to words from an old song...flower of Malaya.

-And which of you is...?

-Couldn’t say. All incomprehensible.

-Like love--or loves--itself. Or themselves.
Or something. At any rate, here you are, celibate and eating from cans.

-Not the latter. Frozen dinners. To which I
apply a chef's touch!

-Could exemplify your whole life.

-Let's...keep it light.
