When It’s Christmas-Time Down South
“Show a little pantie, Auntie!”
“Quench it! You whole damn lot of sex fiends!”
So...she left with an uninvited one.
‘Crusher the Crasher’ later married into
another, decidedly lower, branch of our
family.
Professors should study to affirm it’s human.

Primer on American Exceptionalism
-They closed down the government again!
-Did anyone notice? But, why do we live in such
crappy times?
-Don’t blame MY party. We’re not eating fire
and shitting gold bricks for our greedy clients!
-No, you’re just laying down.
-Sheer fatigue! Anyway, you deal with the
government you got! Just placed my nephew
in a department.
-Which one?
-Not saying. They’ll try destroying that one first.

Requiring Hypocrisy
-So I’m to go 180 and blast my signature issue?
Which really represents us all! Our pride!
-Sorry. You owe. And we need you.
-For the Party? What kind of party goes back on itself?
Its hallowed, traditional word!
-One which survives.
-Well I won’t! I’ll go Third Party! Campaign on a bicycle!
The Last Honest...!
-We got a room where we scrap Don or Donna Quixotes.
-I can win!
-Uh huh? And another room for whoever helps you, your
Sancho Panzas.
-You’re exclusive in all else, but not in revenge!
-Hispanic Inclusion! Let’s welcome Spicks all to hell!

All’s Well
Good Guy and Good Gal
go to a party
and nod off.
After that, every-
one does.
Drinks grow flat
and chips wilt.
Hostesses speeds back
from 7-11 w/ad-
ditional Diet Coke.
The sight brings her tears.
Her guides never detailing
how to keep people awake.
But she rallies: “Hey!
What is this? The Night
of the Living Dead?”
Her boyfriend, Murph,
shoves the sodas in
the frig while muttering
of his weird dream.
“I hope about me!”
“No way! For you’re my true
dream everyday!” His bullshit
revs up all, and they rouse
now to dance. An awfully fast
one, so some fall down,
the start of a victorious Do!

Important Parties
He still hated her.
But there she was at the party for Mickey and
Melora going to Europe for his job.
Laughing! Well he had seen her cry many a time.
The more she enjoyed, the more he withdrew.
Finally sitting in the middle of several chairs,
nursing the bottle he had brought. Perhaps not
the exact one...had grabbed it from a table.
He's eventually shoved to the wall with the chairs,
and rugs thrown over the jumble. For the kids and
their dancing.
Muttering under there, and then crying. One youngster
shouts “Lighten up, Old Man!”
Their comedian.
He falls asleep, but wakes to hear her leaving.
Even over all the din, her usual hysteria.
Emerges in the middle of crazy dancing.
But Becks rescues blinking him. "Where you been?
We got a helluva football pool going! Throwing in
twenty each, so one sweet payoff!"
"I'm in!"
“Money talks!”
Gives him the twenty. “I got the munchies you wouldn’t believe!”
“Eat for Crisakes! Enough for an army!”
Laurette loads her plate too. Did she see Delsey leave?
“Yeah, with some bum. Exquisite taste!...oh I’m sorry:
you were one.”
“Ancient History!”

Kicking Against the Pricks
Jilly calls CSPAN. (The men around her amused afterwards.)
She’s nervous, but wrenches her point out.
Goes to Party Chair and wants to run for something.
“I need help. Details submerging me. Be my third hand
for a bit. Party going down the toilet here, let alone
nationally! Learn the ropes, we’ll run you for something.
Eventually. Maybe.”
When she’s later elected as a Delegate to the National
Convention, all their friends didn’t know she had it in her.
Husband suspected it, though.
Jip Heller opines she's gotta be the cutest one!

Party Politics
PR
-I want Rep_________on CSPAN.
-He’s a vicious idiot!
-Yeah, but actually soft-spoken, and that’ll
work against the jerk-off image.
-Thus good for the party, you think?
-What else? Party! Hip hip and freakin hooray!
-There’s...more to life though, yes?
-You know that song Is That All There Is?
Well that’s all there is.

-I came here to work for the people!
-How’d that go?
-For the party more like.
-How’d the people react?
-Remarkably quiescent. Of course I threw them the occasional cookie.
-How so?
-When Noises didn’t need my vote I was allowed off the reservation.
-So, the great maverick on Face the Nation.
-Spitting fire! Spitting fuckin fire!
-All in all, though, despair?
-Just about. Leads to booze and ladies who give a shit
about nothing.
-Wife back home?
-Roams.
-Worse and worse.
-Our constituent service, though, top drawer! We got young people who work like Trojans.
-Well there is some pride then!
-Yeah, I came as Patrick Henry and leave a really good
7-11 manager.

with the turned-up nose
but don't bring Lulu.*
Ambiguity first! (Intellect’s
battle cry?) Turned-up as in
cute like little piggy? Or,
her emblem of assuming
superiority of taste?--
lording over all of us
from snoz. Anyway, none
in ball-breaking Lulu:
strenuous! and that's it.
I’ve tried counseling her
for society’s sake to eat
a bit of shit, but, wildly in-
educable to the end...
oh well, eventual room
for such women too,
separated dramatically.
